Return to School - December 2020

The Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Parish School Administration, in conjunction with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, the City of Pasadena and Los Angeles County Public Health agencies is currently working on applying for a TK-2 grade in-school wavier.  We are in the process of configuring the TK-2nd classrooms to adhere to social distance guidelines, an outdoor hand washing station has been installed to meet daily sanitation routines, and support letters are being collected with the goal of an early January submission.

Our distance learning instructional model provides an interactive classroom experience that incorporates small group tutoring and individual student conferences. We have expanded our IPad program to include First and Second grade this year, so we have a 1:1 device program for First-Eighth grade. The devices are equipped with free Sprint WIFI capacity.

Over the past month, school activities have enriched the lives of our students by participating in various service projects, electing student council members (3rd-8th grades), visiting a local fire station (TK), sharing their Spartan spirit during our Drive-Thru "Halloween Trick-Treating", and raising an impressive $41,000 by "Letting Their Light Shine" for our annual Fall Fundraiser.

We will provide you with additional information and updates as events unfold.  Thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this very challenging time.

Mission Statement

Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Parish School works collaboratively with the parish community to support parents in their primary role as educators of their children.  We are dedicated to educating the whole child in mind, body and spirit.  This is accomplished through a balanced, inclusive and academically challenging curriculum. It is a well-rounded educational program for every child.

Why Saint Elizabeth?

Our Parish and School communities cherish each child and work together to provide a learning environment that develops responsible, caring, and faith-filled citizens who can live out their Christian life.  We strive to give them real life opportunities to use their talents and gifts that reinforce "loving God with all your heart, mind and soul." This enables them to love and serve their home, church and community.

Mommy and Me Program

Our school's Early Literacy program for children ages 3-4.  Every Tuesday morning from 9:30-11:00am, young children will learn songs, stories and do a craft project with experience early childhood educators.  The parents will become a part of parent-education discussions.  This a "free" community program.  We are on a hiatus until it safe to return in-person instruction.
