Spotlight Message - Welcome Back to School 2021
Last night, our PTO and School Boards hosted a wonderful for our new school families. The memorable evening was filled with good food, great conversations and budding friendships among our Student Council and new students. I did not realize when my husband, Deacon Doug, and I attended our first new family dinner with our daughters almost 25 years ago, it would be the trajectory that would change of our lives forever. We were embraced and became a part of this wonderful School Community.
Two weeks ago, it was a pleasure reconnecting with our faculty and staff. The days were filled with retreats, decorating classrooms, and conducting school and grade-level band planning. It was nice to come together in-person finally as a community after almost 20 months of Zoom meetings. I am energized by our faculty's love and passion for teaching. It is going to be a good year for our students!
Our Welcome Week events during this week will be an affirmation that spending time with each other cannot be taken for granted; it help us connect and establish strong bonds. It is definitely one of the key takeaways that I have gained from this pandemic. I thank God for the five courageous Holy Names nuns who established our school almost 104 years ago during the Spanish Flu!
Welcome Back to School!
All is Well,
Dr. Phyllis Cremer, Principal
